Importing VOSON networks into Gephi or R/igraph

This query was submitted via support@uberlink.com: To further analyze networks, with software like Gephi or R/igraph, users can export networks from VOSON in GraphML format and import them in their preferred tool. VOSON is designed to be a tool for data collection/preparation and then, invariably export the networks for further analysis using other software. Note that the exported networks (via Graphml) should be identical to what is in VOSON.
