Making Desing Research: where visual arts and practice-led research meet

The exhibition "Making Design Research" presented by ANU Design will open tonight February 14. The exhibition explores "the complex relationships between making, design, and research" where "the works combine emergent practice-based enquiry with systematic investigation".

Various ANU School of Art & Design staff and students will exhibit works and projects linked to disciplinary collaboration with ANU researchers from diverse fields including Social Sciences, Biology, Medical Sciences, Earth science, Computer Science and Climate Change.

In her joint work with Dr. Rob Ackland, artist Jen Fullerton explored online harassment and bullying. Dr Robert Ackland provided the artist with Twitter datasets (collected via Uberlink) and visualizations relating to abusive language directed towards Australian politicians. Jen Fullerton will have two pieces on display.

The exhibition will be open to the public from February 15 to February 25, 2017, at the ANU School of Art & Design Main Gallery.
