VOSON used to investigate audience formation
Researchers from the University of Missouri and the Northwestern University published a study, which examines the role of cultural and technological factors in audience formation behavior, on the WWW.
The VOSON software was used by corresponding author Assistant Professor Harsh Taneja at the School of Journalism, University of Missouri, for collection, construction and analysis of networks of hyperlink data.
The article was published in December 2015 by the Journal of Communication and it was recently presented at the ICA conference 2016.
